Death of my D16Z6.........
HOLY SHIZBOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Never seen a liner like #4!!!!
A 1.5L will be going back in, likely my old D15B7 for now while I build or buy a D15B VTEC.
If I build it, watch out!
12.5:1 compression on stock pistons without milling the head or block.

Just don't order a JDM 1.5 vtec from K.watanabe...
Me: "That's the 130ps engine not the vtec-e motor i'm getting right?"
Them: "Oh yeah direct replacement for the usdm 92-95 si and ex motors."
Me a week later: "Why the hell do I have a vtec-e engine in my garage now?"
Them: "It's what we sell for a replacement for the ex and si motors"
Anyway good luck with your buildup! There was a 1.5 vtec on ebay a while back.

I always hear of #3 cylinder running the hottest, so maybe thats why it is the most common one to fail first.
Mr. Bone, that photo is a N20 injected D series correct?

I really cant explain it too technically, but I´ve read that #3 cilinder in 4 cilinder cars go out first because it is continually heated up by its own combustion and combustion from cylinders 2 and 4.........I will try to find a diagram I had seen for this........
Hrm... just out of curiosity... I know you're juiced but what kind of plugs were you running??? I've heard that Bosch Platinum+4 plugs will do that to pistons too.
What does the Bosch Platinums +4 have anything to do with this? I'm running Bosch +4's, don't scare me.
my friends (rexb16) stock b16 with gsr cams. went from redline in 2nd back to 1st...
it completely shattered the piston. we found it in a million pieces collected in the cat and downpipe. the water is there because when the sleave exploded all the coolent was pumped through the engine before the piston dissapeared.

Totally OT but how do you shift from 2nd back to 1st at 8000 rpm?
I mean, I've misshifted and ground 3rd, but never came close to shifting into 1st
