Default What do you think of these reported problems

I just bought a 2001 ex sedan with a stick. It has 103,000 miles. Has anyone experienced either of these two problems or anything else with this car that would be helpful to know about.

An occasional problem on this vehicle is the failure of the Evaporative (EVAP) Canister Vent Solenoid that is part of the Emission Controls. This problem can cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. The cost to replace the EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid is estimated at $49.33 and $32.50 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65.00 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax

An occasional problem on this vehicle is the failure of the Driver's Door Switch and Headlamp Switch. Failure of the Driver's Door Switch may cause the Key Reminder System and the Dome Light to operate incorrectly. Failure of the Headlamp Switch may cause the headlamps to operate incorrectly. The cost to replace the Driver's Door Switch is estimated at $3.43 for parts and $26.00 for labor. The cost to replace the Headlamp Switch is estimated at $34.98 for parts and $39.00 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65.00 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax

I haven't had any issues with that.....I have an 04 with 93,000 miles, and the only real problem I have had is a busted window regulator.

I've seen both problems on cars that we service, but neither is particularly common.

The most common issues on '01 Civics are broken front lower control arm bushings and blown front struts.
