Default xb rims on 02 ep3

Sorry if my first post is dumb. I bought some cheap steel scion rims off craigslist. I went to the guys house and my friend put the rim on and it appeared that there was no rubbing. when i went to NTB to have them put the rim on they sed the tires are fine but the rim is rubbing. The guy said the center piece is rubbing and that they can get the rim on but it may be really hard to get off. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make them fit. thanks.

in general, toyota cars use a smaller hub size. that means toyota rims typically won't fit on other cars even if the bolt pattern is the same. (i'm referring to hole in the center of the rim)

on the other hand, because toyota cars have smaller hubs, a wider variety of oem rims may bolt up to a toyota but the wheel won't be hubcentric...
