ok i know about the seat pan swap, but im picking up a set of GSR seats for dirt cheap from a friend, and my seats need a serious replacement.

Ive got a 89 hatch, and i already know they wont bolt up. Would it be possible to drill 1 or 2 holes through the frame and use a bolt and nut (yea a PITA i know) to secure it?

id use a rubber gasket to prevent water leakage from the bottom. Ive seen 90-91 Si seats SCREWED (yes self taping screws) into the frame of a 89 CRX, but that rear right bolt screws everything up. let me know if im stupid for thinking this..
