Default 225/45-15 Toyo R1R fitment

Since Toyo is planning on releasing the 225/45-15 R1R sometime soon, It gives us STS Honda's an opportunity to run the max allowance of 225 wide tires. Since I drive a heavier car than those 2000lb civics, I need more tire than them. I'm wondering if you can fit it in the front of an Integra without having to remove the fender liner? The rules do not allow you to remove it.

The plans of toyo releasing this size has been wondered for ages... im starting to doubt they'll even come out with it. Its been a very long time.

You should be able to run 225's w/ the correct offset no problem, the worse you can do is rub until that area gets melted away and it will never rub again.

Are you sure they're not available yet? They're shown with a price ($128.12) on the tiredeals4less.com website.

I love my R1R's. I upgraded from RT615's. The R1R's have lot more consistent grip more towards the end of sessions, unlike the 615's that get very oily. The one thing i dont like about the R1R's is the soft sidewalls. I can totally feel the difference between sweeper like turns between the two tires.

I've read on some miata forum that the rubber compound on the 225's is harder than the 195's and 205's. I'd like to know how is the treadlife on these tires.
