Quick question (owning my first EF) Did the 91 SI Civic's come with rear disc brakes? (standard or as a dealer option?) Just trying to figure out if whats on here is original, or from a CRX or a Teggy. Thanks in advance.

 

apparently optional as mine has drums...i'm happy with them

 

None of the 88-91 civic si's came with rear discs. only the 90-91 crx si. if you have one with rear discs chances are it came from an integra. if it's from a crx then it has integra ebrake cables.

wow I have been wondering the same thing, i have a 88 si and i have drums in the back yet everyone was telling me that they came stock on the CRX. Very helpful thread

 

I think it was the only the 91 Si that had rear discs, the last year for the CRX.

 

my 89 civic si have discs all round, but it is a jdm ef

Only the 90-91 CRX had rear disc factory, no civics, all RHD from japan civics/crxs 88-91 had rear disc factory.
