Default koni VS tokico

iam going to lower my 98 accord lx and was looking at some struts i could run with some tein s tech coils. i was going to get some koni yellows but they are a little more money than what i have. the tokico's are 440 vs 700 from koni. i was looking at the illumina and was wondering if thry were any good. thanks in advance for your input

both are good and have lifetime warranty. if u dont mind putting a little bit more then just get koni if ur on a budget the illumina is fine. but koni yellows does not cost 700 =\

on shox.com they were like 690. i figured they would be cheaper because i did a koni yellow search on google and they were like 350 for most of the cars.

it really depends on the application, koni yellow for Miata is way underdampered for most aftermarket spring/sleeve over. They are barely okay for stock spring and there's even suspension vender that revalve a new yellow koni before they sell them, that's how bad they are off the shelf.

samething to happens to the yellow application for the S2k according to many forum dude in s2ki.com, underdampered for most aftermarket lowering spring.

illumina in the other hand works great on the miata, even with double the oem springrate.

ask around, i used to have a 02 coupe and i had zero luck with any aftermarket damper, so i went str8 to coilover after couple hundred dollar wasted
