Ok, so I just did a detail on my car a couple nights ago (2 coats of wax), and much to my chagrin, the first coat of wax took some off some of the PY paint on the pad. Not a whole lot, but there was definitely a yellow tone to the residue on the pad. Now, it's not very noticeable, but my paint doesn't look quite as good as I feel it should after spending 3 hours detailing it with my friend (who is a professional detailer). On top of that, my front and rear bumpers appear somehow slightly MORE saturated in color than the rest of the body, which confuses me to no end. It's possible that they were replaced before I owned it, I suppose, but I don't see why both the bumpers would be replaced simultaneously.
But nevertheless, I need some suggestions as to what I can do for my paint on top of this detail job I just did. It still looks pretty good, but I suspect that it'll start to fade within a year or two, which brings tears to my eyes to think about. Could I re-clear the paint at some point in the near future? Is that even an option?
Any help here would be very helpful. I'd throw up a picture to make the thread more interesting, but I haven't had a chance to get a photo shoot in yet.
