yea its true. my gsr has a bit of tap, and my master tech friend told me not to worry about it. Honda motors are noisey, especially if you're running an in bay short 'ram' intake. About 50% of the time you're probably hearing the injectors as well.

do be carefull though. my one cousin desided to do a valve adjustment cause he thought the valve tap was a little bit to loud and found out that one of the 10mm nuts was actually missing. everything was okay, and it held together, it's just that the nut wasn't there. replaced the nut with a new one and all was good.

so you might not have to worry about it, but i'd at least check or take a look.

yea, we all thought that it was okay too (the valve tapping) but when he desided to do a timing belt job and valve adjustment, found out different.

yeah all the valves were perfect at .08 except for one which was at .11, but that was corrected. it kinda sounds like a bees nest at anything over 3k. i just had a timing belt put on and it wasnt oem. would that have anything to do with it? (i was reading another post about timing belts)

if you already checked and re adjusted them, you should be fine. but if i remember corectly adjust when cold, run it, cool down, and check again making sure it's TDC. but you should be fine though. for the timing belt, as long as it's a gates belt(gates makes oem honda belts) you should be fine. after seeing some after market timing belts crap out, i'll always go oem timing belt, and water pumps.
