wow some of those cars you would not expect. i guess all the people leaving honda and acura's behind and picking up a dodge durango or ford truck are ignorant! LOLOL

think those american cars are stolen then shipped over sea's. i bet they want them pretty bad. like we want RHD cars.

I think it should say "S2000 seats are the most stolen in the US"

Civics seem to be getting snatched a lot lately. For a while in Columbus it seemed like one every week.

A co-worker mentioned this to me today and I couldn't believe it. Then I realized about the only worthwhile item to a non S2k owner is the seats.

anything that shares parts with tons of other vehicles will be a popular car to steal since it's easy to get rid of the parts. that's why hondas and acuras have been on the top 10 stolen lists as long as I can remember.

seats and the gauge cluster are probably the biggest reason S2000's are stolen, lot of K-series swap guys use the S2000 cluster. the offset on the wheels really keeps those from being valuable to anything else but another S2000. the motor doesn't direct swap into anything else, but some guys jack AP2 engine / tranny setups and put them into AP1's.

you know that theft is a big issue when my buddy bought his S2000 from the dealer and they had a $5,000 cash rebate if you car got stolen. so if his car gets stolen he would get his insurance check for the car, plus GAP coverage on the loan, plus another $5,000 from the dealer, pretty funny, I guess it's their incentive for buying a car that's known to be stolen a lot.

oil pumps modified are usfuel to the guys not running k20a2 or type-r oil pumps.
i belive the oil cooler is another item some use. you have an adapter people use on k24a1 blocks to get a2 or s2k oil coolers on. but they are pretty cheap at the dealer .

the pistons of both genrations fit, and are cheap forged internals. mated to tsx rods becuase they are thicker ( need a little modification)

i belive s2000 guys run k24 cranks to stroke them iirc.

s2k motor is pretty much a modified k series motor

Seats
Cluster...can be made to work with almost any Honda
Steering Wheel
Swap...for the OG RWD guys...there is a bolt in kit now for the AE86/F20C
Any aftermarket parts

A stolen S2000 could be parted for $4000-$5000

Integra stuff can still be sold, but a thief would need to find a GSR/ITR to get that much

you should. and if you need cheaper valve springs/retainers = k20/k24 aftermarket units.

i know its been f20/22 -> k series, never the other way around. ( most s2000 guys think their car is too great to see upgrades from other honda/acura motors)

ya pretty funny, next time ya hear an s2k guy saying "it's barely a honda" you can secretly laugh at his never built a motr *** XD

just a letter and VTC, doesn't make the 2 motors completely incompatible.

honestly id rather have the more aggressive lobes, rather than some complex increased moving parts 2 step system. ( what the toda vtec eliminator cams are)

heard it many times from a kid in this area.

keeps talking **** on a guy with a ls/vtec and a t3/t4 on it running a chipped p28, says stupid **** like "its fwd" "no replacement for displacement" etc.

keeps referring to his 10 year old semi-sports car as a factory built race car

h22 rods after market components for other motors that MAY be cheaper.
k24 tsx crank, but you want a nitride coated 2-4 crank, a n RDX crank might work.

also RDX injectors are 410cc ish, don't know if they fit or are smaller than s2000 injectors (s2000's never really appealed to me)

That would be like building an LS/Vtec. I dont feel like rolling dice every time I want to turn my car on. I could also build my motor the right way for a little more and not have to worry. Please qoute every one who responds to your posts in one post next time. thank you
