Default A/C evaporator gone... what about heater???

Okay, 1996 Civic. I took out my A/C system a long time ago from the engine bay. Today I just finally removed the evaporator so I could pull the fuse box harness into the car to mount it at the passenger kick panel. Since I don't have A/C, I don't want to put that heavy *** evaporator back in... but how am I supposed to connect the blower motor and heater unit back up, since the A/C evap connects inbetween the heater/blower assemblies to the air piping behind the climate control?

I'm assuming that the civic's that did NOT come with A/C must've had just a longer heater box... or did the 6th gen Civic's have A/C as a mandatory option?

Thanks!

you just need to go to the dealer or find a civic without ac and get the heater duct that connects the two. i actually think it was only like 20 bucks when i got mine

Wow, you were dead on! I looked it... it's called an A/C delete duct for 96-00 Civics. I'm shopping for a good price now, but I'll call my local dealership too.

Thanks AK94GSR!!!!!!!

Make sure to check your local junkyard first. Any 96-00 Civic without A/C (although, these are rare in FL) will have it, and you should be able to get it very cheap.
