Benefits of Aftermarket Exhausts
Hey guys,
I've got a rather odd question. I need to know all the valid points in favor of buying an aftermarket header/exhaust/catalytic converter instead of replacing broken components with stock parts. My Integra needed a new midpipe and cat heat shield, but instead of paying $178 and $150 to replace/repair those parts, I purchased a Comptech 4-2-1 MIG Header, Comptech Power-Pro catback exhaust, and SMSP Carsound Catalytic Converter. The Header replaced the midpipe, and the Carsound cat replaced the heat shield. Now here's the odd part: let's pretend that upgraded performance is not a good thing. Because it isn't for my parents (yeah, I'm still a teenager). So what are the other upsides to aftermarket components from SMSP and Comptech?
