Default Ultra high performance all-season tire in 195-50-15

I wanted to purchase Kuhmo ASXs for my 94 hatchcrap in 195-50-15 but realized they don't offer that size. Having a hard time finding ultra high performance all-season tires in 195-50-15. Anyone have any recommendations?

Are you using tirerack.com? Unfortunately, they don't offer any ultra high performance all seasons in 195/50/15. Try discount tire?

Kumho's site doesn't list that tire in that size.

They do list a 205/40-16 though, which should work out to about the same external diameter. If you want these tires, I think you'll have to end up with that size.

I can only offer praise for those tires. We've been very happy with them on the girl's A4, but thats in a 235/40-18 size (and 235/45-17 previously).

Sadly, the days of easy availability for cars with small diameter tires is over.

The best all-seasons don't come in 195/50-15. So you're stuck with the available choices, including the Kumho ASX, Falken Ziex ZE-912, Nitto NT-450, or Toyo Proxes 4. None of these is great, but all are cheap, $50-60 per tire.

Another option is to buy a package of winter tires (rather than all-seasons), mounted on steelies. For example, you could get the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 in 175/65-14 mounted on 14" steelies. Other winter tire sizes that will work on your car include 185/60-14 and 175/70-13.

Anyone have feeback on Dean Stinger GTS tires? Dean are made by Cooper Tires. I had Deans way back when I owned an Alfa Romeo Milano 2.5L and they worked great.

They are available in 195-50-15 and look decent..

I have no personal experience with them, but my experience with off-brand tires is consistently poor. They're also more expensive than the other tires I mentioned as available in your size.
