Default heater doesnt work.

well i know this has been discussed before but i couldnt find it. the heater on my 97 civic stopped working out of no where and then engine started over heating out of no where. so i replaced the thermostat and put a new coolant in it. but it still was blowing cold air after the car warmed up. anyone have any idea why it is doing that.

What does the temp gauge say? Positive the heater core isn't leaking? Sure the heater core isn't plugged?

check your cable that lets the coolant flow in to your heater core

I have a '92 Civic LX. I've noticed lately that it takes FOREVER for it to warm up. This morning it took 20 minutes for it to blow warm air. I can't tell if its just that cold here right now, or if my heater core is dying. The water pump was replaced less than a week ago, so I know it isn't that.
