Default H23 Tranny Stuck in Gear

I asked about this before and didnt get many responses but figured id tear the top breather cover off where the linkages connect to. Everything moves fine and freely, is there anyway sumthin could have got moved? Cus i see i bolt holding the unit to the shaft but didnt want to mess with that. Its either stuck in 3rd or 4th gear. I can have it in nuetral and in any other gear but when i let out the clutch it wants to staul instead of take off cus of it being in a higher gear. I can get it to move by riding the clutch but try not to do that much. Wanted to see if there was sumthin i could do without sending it to a shop or replacing it with another one. Any input would be needed. Thanx

drain the oil, that is if there is any in there, because your countershaft got too hot and expanded, killing the needle bearing and welding the gear to the shaft, now you are stuck in that gear. as for why to drain the oil, just to see if there is any in there, if there is alot then chances are its not what i said above, but from my many many experiences this is what i have seen.

actually that might be pretty close. I race the car on a dirt oval track and just put the motor n tranny in for the last 2 races this season. I figured since we dont run that long i didnt hook that tranny lines up to the radiator which in return i was gettin alot of fluid blowing up and around the dizzy area. I since hooked the hoses up and filled it with fluid. Is there anyway to fix it if that is the case or should i find another one?

i understood that, did you read my reply? i was asking if that can be fixed since im guessing that may be the problem? I only need 2nd gear so if it can be taken apart and fixed is it worth it? Cus i can get another tranny for 2-300.
