Default is it true? 1000rr cbr 05

someone told me when poppin a wheelie on a 1000rr that it won't flip because when you past 46 degree angle the fuel cuts off.. is that true?

and is it ok to shift w/out the clutch? cuz he does it and i tried on my bike also and shifts just fine but was wondering if it's bad for the bike..

you can scrap the rear fender if you want, the bike will not cut the fuel.

its fine to shift without the clutch if you know how to blip the throttle correctly. i only clutchless shift at full throttle by the way.

Also, I only do clutchless UPshifts...for downshifts, I use the clutch+a little couple revs from the throttle.

Flipping isn't the only thing you should be worried about...come down funny after a wheelie on almost any bike and you're going to kiss pavement.

yeah fuel cutoff won't save your ***.

yes you can shift without using the clutch, but it will wear it out faster if you're not rolling off the throttle to put some slack in the driveline when shifting....but you have more important skills to master at this point (like not killing yourself).

good luck luvs2spooge, you're going to need it.

The only thing I can think of that resembles a fuel cutoff is the tipover sensor. Otherwise, that is the first I've ever heard of an anti-wheelie fuel cutoff.

I know Up On One uses a system like that for their wheelie-training machine. But theirs is aftermarket.

The tip over sensor will cut fuel when past a certain angle. That doesn't mean it wont flip.

There is no fuel cutoff for doing a wheelie. Would you want the engine to cut off if you were going up a steep hill?

Even so a fuel cutoff won't necessary prevent your bike from flipping. If you did a wheelie real fast, you would need an angular momentum cutoff because stopping the engine won't stop the bike to continue "flipping"
