As an Engineer looking at that. it does not look safe.

looks like you couple pull the bolts out of the bolt hole with one good hit.

But hey if you want to give it a go, go for it.

now that is impressive, if you want to jack your car up hitting a pot hole!!! can anyone say new air intake inlet for your hood?

but no, ground control sells a extended top hat kit. pretty pricey. there is also a way to extend your current top hats which require some nifty and precise welding. are you doing this for a reason or did you just wonder what it was for?

That's funny.
Whomever owns that car spent money on the useless AEM CAI bypass valve, but couldn't spring some $ for top hats.

Looks close at the bolts - the one on the right is bent.
I don't think anything will break other than the bolts as they bend.
