2009 MVP Track Time Schedule

Good Morning All:

MVP Track Time (www.MVPTrackTime.com) is very excited to announce our expanded track day schedule for the 2009 track season.

After several years of successful events on the Midwest’s premier tracks, we are looking East at some of North America’s most historic tracks. The “Big 5” (Road America, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio) have always been on MVP’s radar. Adding Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta for 2009 gets us 2/5 way there. If/when we find partners out West, Laguna Seca will become a reality and IF (notice BIG if) we can secure a workable dates at Road America and Mid Ohiowe will complete the “Big 5” circle.

As many are feeling the effects of the economic downturn, MVP is attempting to keep pricing the same as 2008. With all the economic bad news, I hope this reaches you as some good news. We aim to bring the best track value to you. Below you will find our tentative 2009 schedule, subject to revision as necessary.

April 18-19: Putnam Park ”Tax Freedom Track Weekend” - SOLD OUT!

June 1: Autobahn Country Club (FULL 3.56 mile track) - SOLD OUT!

August 3: Autobahn Country Club II (FULL 3.56 mile track) - SOLD OUT!

September 5-6: Blackhawk Farms ”No Hurricane Rain Track Weekend” - PERFECT WEEKEND!

November 21 -22: Road Atlanta "Flyin Turkey Trot"


Now that Spring has arrived, I hope you’ll gear up for some much needed fresh air and join MVP Track Time at the track.

You guys need a package deal discount. Like sign up for a full season is 25% off, or an Illinois package (Autobahn, Autobahn, blackhawk) for 10% off or something.

I can appreciate the idea. We feel MVP offers a great value (we are keeping 2009 prices the same) for the track time our attendees enjoy for the price. Look at other groups running places like Road Atlanta and VIR that are upwards of 50% more then our entry fee. Talk to the drivers who attend our events and you'll get a good feel of how much they enjoy it.

hey everyone, im wondering how i can get into these events iv never heard of mvp b4 and am very interested all of the track time i have been able to do is with clubs, i live in milwaukee and am interested in the autobahn and blackhawk days. please let me know thanks everyone

Is there a limit on participants for a given track day?? Do you usually fill up? I'm more interested in a day rather than a weekend. Do weekend people get priority?

 

Yes, we limit the number of participants based on track length. Barring one event in Oklahoma, we've sold out every event since I started doing track days several years ago. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

How much track time do you get per day? I know it will vary from track to track and other factors, just looking for a ballpark. Road Atlanta in November is looking good for me.

 

open wheel allowed?

 

Generally we have six, 20-minute run sessions for each of the three (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) run groups per day. Occassionally, we can squeeze in a 25-minute run in place of one of the 20-minute runs.

Cluelessmale (HE, HE, HE - Every woman will love that name!), unfortunatley, as much as we'd like to, we don't allow open-wheel cars in our events. Just isn't safe mixing an open-wheeler with a production car in the evetn of contact. Sorry!

I want to try an MVP track time, seems fun

However I do think this is a great idea for you to look into... it guarantees a purchased spot (whether they show or not) and it also brings down the price slightly when the economy is on a down turn making it more likely people attend your events...

Might want to look into it a little more. Cause I know more clubs that are cheaper and for a lapping day why pay more for same value/time(although not much more)?

Hecor I think if you look around at track day organizations, you'll find our entry fee is very reasonable considering the amount of track time you'll receive. I started MVP Track Time to avoid the standing around while a 4th and/or 5th run group was on track.

Hobos:

We are very excited to get to some of (IMHO) the great tracks America has to offer. Hoepfully the schedule will expand in 2010 as well.
