Default ED7 Project

Hi guys, I finally decided to register here after just reading for quite some time. I thought I´d put up a topic on my car for you to see.

It´s a 1988 ED7 Hatch with the D16A9 DOCH Engine.
List of what has been done so far:
-Rust removed and over 2sqmeters of new sheet metal welded to replace rusty spots.
-Repainted with G66P - Barcelona Green Pearl
-D16A9 (European spec version of the ZC) 16valve DOCH engine.
-Stainless header + catback
-Noname CAI with an Apexi filter
-Shaved head with Tru-Time camgears
-Fuel pressure regulator
-Wingswest bodykit
-KW Variant coil-over suspension
-Energy suspension polyurethane complete bushing-set.
-Upper & Lower strutbars front+rear
-Recaro Speed look-a-like seats

Still to come:
-ECU chip/flashing
-Skunk2 Intake manifold
-Rollcage
-JDM Orange cornerlights
-Drilled/Slotted discs all-round + EBC GreenStuff pads
Maybe something else too, time will show.

Here are some pics, this is what it looked like when I got it a year ago.

I noticed that I had a "small" rust problem so I started taking off the interior to get a better look at the problem.

Here are some pics of what was found under the rear seats and in the rear wheel-wells:

The rust was pretty well spread throughout the rear end of the car, at this point I wasn´t sure if it would even be worth keeping or should I just sell it for parts or something. I ended up replacing and welding all the rusty bits with new metal, took a hellova lot of time and effort, but now it should be good for another 20 years before it looks the same..

The rear end bushings didn´t look too good either, replaced them all with Energy Suspension urethane ones.

Next up I took apart the head, it was shaved and the valves and seals were replaced:

Also polished up the engine bay a bit, and threw in some new parts..

Trying on the bodykit I got for the car

And here she is on the trailer before going to the paint-shop

It got painted with G66P - Barcelona Green Pearl, wich is the original colour for the EE9 European spec B16A1 engined 91' Hatch.

More pics can be found in my album here at Hondatech:

Any comments are wellcome!

It´s the Wingswest bodykit. I don´t have a proper pic of mine on the car but here´s a similiar one:

I also have the same kind of yellow foggies that the car in the pics has.

I will for sure make it as I want it to be, it´s still nice to hear what other ppl think so keep the comments coming.
I´m not into huge spoilers or bodykits myself, more into the JDM style so don´t worry, I wont rice it out..
