Resonated test pipe : 2.5in to 2.25out
Hi,
I have a Omnipower 2.5in to 2.25out test pipe and want to switch to a resonated one because I have a raspy sound @ 3000rpm.
I'm on a B18R with a JDM header and a 2.25 noname mid section on a Apexi WS2 muffler.
My first goal was to take a ebay **** but all of them have the same diameter on both side (in & out). I can't find something with a bigger input than the ouput...
After some search over internet, it seem that the T1R is the quiet I can found for my purpose. (it also need to be a 16.5 long unit).
Do you guys know the in & out size please ?
What other choices would you have/do ?
Let me know.
Thanks

is there a resonator on the mid pipe? raspy sound goes away with a good exhaust that is NOT a flow through muffler no matter with or with out cat. I would try to find a mid section with a resonator from apexi or just a fresh ws2 full exhaust or tanabe, they are deep with no rasp. i love mine
Yes the mid pipe have a resonator and with my previous muffler (fireball) I didn't have that awful noise, I switched to the WS2 to have less volume and now I have a weird sound...
The actual mid pipe is the one upper in the picture

i think then you need bigger cams
make sure no leaks where exhaust bolts up. i think the apexi exhausts are awesome, maybe the baffled muffler is harnessing the exhaust flow more than the fireball and giving you those sounds. try the fireball mid-pipe maybe. i wouldnt worry about it.
