Annoying beep, gauges not working
Hey guys. I have a 1991 Honda CRX Si that beeps lol..
So what happened was my gauges stopped working and when I turn the key in the ignition it goes from the "III" position back to the "II" position. It still runs fine, but none of my gauges (RPM, Gas, Speedo, etc) work. And what's worse....my car won't stop beeping! I think it's the "key in, car off" beep, and it won't stop. I also think I need a new ignition switch entirely, maybe not. But in either case, I can't afford it at the moment...so I just want to STOP THE BEEPING!!!!!! Ahhhh I'm going mad and deaf because I have to blast my music lol.
Can anyone please help me stop the beep?

Sounds like an ICU (Integrated Control Unit) problem. Do you also have issues with your intermittent wipers not working or working randomly? Does your rear defroster work? Do you (not)have the door-ajar chime or chime when the key is left in the ignition? If you do, check this thread out on G2IC.com

My old DA had that problem, swapped out the ICU though instead of following the repair DIY. BTW, the ICU is located on the back of the interior fuse box.

or you could go the cheap way, and when you remove the ICU locate the speaker directly behind the ICU and dissconnect it...... but then you will have no alarms at all i.e lights on, doors, seatbelts. ect.....

The blue wire under the mirror is for the seatbelt lights, I want to stop the "key in, car off" beeping because when my car is on the key is set to the "II" position rather than the "III" in the ignition. So my car thinks that my car is off when it isn't...I guess I'll try to locate that speaker behind the ICU. I think I know where the ICU is (behind the fuse box under dash?) What does this speaker look like?
My defrost/wipers work fine, my gauges just don't work because the speedometer/RPMS/Gas gauges don't work when the key is in the "II" slot of the ignition. So I think I just need a new ignition switch or something. Anyway, I'll try to find that speaker to stop this infernal beeping..thanks

this is dumb of me to ask, but where is this sensor? it would be great to not have a flashing red light in my face.....but a nice picture will only last so long in front of the gauge cluster.
