Default rbc intake manifold on my rsx type s?

i have a 06 rsxy type s with a aem v2 intake on it. i want to get more low end torque from my car because it is sluggish up to 4k rpms. Would the rbc intake manifold help with lowend torque?? or if not what elkse woruld do better?

rbc should help everywhere. but if you want more torque you should look into a kpro, if you dont' have one allready.

I would tell you to search, but not sure if it is working 100%.

Anyways, a new intake manifold is absolutely worthless without a K-pro to tune it. If you bolt it on as-is you'll lose more torque.

the RBC runners are designed for high RPM horsepower. Not low end torque.

My k20z1 beat both...? I had standard bolt ons. Injen CAI, DCRH, Greddy EVO II Catback, K-pro.

And you drive a honda... there is no such thing as low end torque. I now have A LOT more torque but I dropped a k24a2 in my 05.

there's no way you'll beat anything without K-pro and tune

K-pro is THE greatest upgrade or modification for the k series end of story. It is completely worth the money. And there is no real instal... just swap the ecu. There is a guy the I know who street tunes over the internet if your interested for pretty cheap. I think he charged me like $40 bucks when I first got k-pro.

If you want to play you have to pay. Suck it up and buy the k-pro you will gain so much

Why are you worried about under 4k RPM's? When are you actually going to be under 4k racing? Never! Even when you launch you should be past that.

just wanted to mention, i'm not sure the V2 will mount up the same with an RBC manifold, if you were going to continue to use that intake...i've got a V2 on my '04 and was going to swap in an RBC but just by looking at the set up, it won't sit free and clear in the engine bay...a type-r manifold however, is money. just my 2 cents...

also i agree with the majority, k-pro is the best thing for your car. with it you can utilize the max potential of what ever you want to bolt on the rsx, then tune it for optimal performance...i'd wait for the manifold and work towards that Hondata my man...

sorry but thats just WRONG!
where did you get that information?!

after mounting the rbc and a tune with kpro i gained a lot of torque in the low and middle revs und horsepower over the whole rev-curve

yeaaa, i agree...i gained so much low end power...my friend who had a 2.3L stroked race evo was even surprised about how much low end power the RBC wit Kpro did for me....if u get it, u HAVE to get kpro....its not worth it otherwise...
