Default Battery Terminals

Does anybody know how to get the negative and positive battery terminals off the wire?

My negative battery terminal connector is screwed up and doesnt make a good connection anymore. I bought new terminal ends for the battery cables but the terminals are crimped on the cable so hard that I dont know how to get it off.

I could cut the negative and still have slack, but the positive does not have enough slack so i would have to somehow salvage what is there.

Anybody done this before?

Pictures would help. You could always buy a new connector, and some 4-0 gauge wire and do the big 3 upgrade. =P

You should be able to pry it apart yourself with a screw driver or gut it slightly with a dremel to pull it apart.
