Default East west shootout idea thread

perhaps there should be a friendly east vs west competition.

I'm sure someone could get something together and hold it in a centralized location like Texas. There is a pretty nice track in Ennis, TX near Dallas and also another nice track in Baytown, TX near Houston.

It seems like some sort of SFWD and All Motor shootout could be organized. Just a thought.

Now were talking! I would be interested in a shootout somewhere in the middle!

Tim Grey and I were actually discussing the idea of something like this last night.

Would be a great idea to start planning now so we can make it huge.

It would be interesting to see how many street all motor cars would actually come instead of sitting behind their computers for once . .

Sounds like a great idea have a shootout for a couple of different classes, I would also be intrested in putting some money up to make it happen. Someone in the middle should work on this

like jake said we were talking about this last night. But he made a good point that a lot of all motor racers are flakers and wont show up..all of the sfwd guys said they want another outlaw race ,well we can do another one but just add an outlaw all motor class with it.I think etown is one of the best places to have it but i am willing to go where ever...somewhere in the middle would be good

we have already gotten the "ok" to have an outlaw event at M.I.R. next year. along with an awesome track and facility....Jason is one of the best event coordinators in the business.

Indy seems to be a decent middle spot as well

im sure everybody would like to check out the new track in NC.

just throwing up a few idea's

Ah thats just because your too lazy to take weight out of your car

Lets not make this a Rules arguement thread (as we are so famous for doing) as this is just an idea thread . .

how would it be structured? like I vs D? or like the old mustang grand national shootout?

take top 15 qualifiers from each coast, and pair them up 15 vs 15 all the way to 1 vs 1 having the winner be atleast 8 wins for their side?

Don't hate because I'm big. But on the real, wcf rules are more than far.

I see no reason why it shouldnt be structured exactly like the outlaw shootout.

16 qualifiers , no matter what side they are from, Pro ladder.

No Domestics - FWD only

Whats the point of an "outlaw" race if it follows rules of another event?
Jason could just call it World cup with a bigger payout because of higher entrance fee.

I understand what your saying but event outlaw race had some rules.
Let's make this happen.

reason i said that, is because it will give you a difinitive winner, so you are looking at the world finals structure.

it was just a thought, i went to mustang vs buicks in 94 and 95. in 94 iirc it was 14 to 1 buicks.

95 it was 8 to 7 buicks.

was just an idea to actually put it coast vs coast.
