Radiator fan won't turn on when car is running
My girlfriend's car is a 93 Accord EX wagon. Recently the car has been running a little hot, and I've noticed that the radiator fan never turns on when the car is running. The funny thing is, about 10-30 seconds after the car is turned off, the fan comes on and runs for a few minutes. The car never actually overheats, and we can use the heater to cool off the engine if the car has to sit idle for a while, but obviously this is something I'd like to fix. I'm guessing that there is some kind of relay or sensor that controls when the fan switches on. Where should I start looking?
Temp switch 'A' is located on the T-stat housing. You should be able to remove the connector and insert a jumper, turn on the key and fans will run.
If not I'd suggest you jump power to the fans from the battery to see if either fan is an good to begin with.
