I just placed tokico illuminas + GC on my eg. I have adjusted the gc to the ride height that i want, but after i set everything up and placed the wheels on the ground, the illuminas won't compress down to the height of the gc. Right now the car riding on pure shocks with out any coilover support. The coilovers a sitting freely on the shaft of the illuminas about an inch and a half away from the boot head. What did i miss while doing the set up? What should I do.

Please i'm asking if anyone can help me out. My car is sitting outside in need of assistance and i don't want to go spend $100 buck for some mechanic to fix it.

Post up some pictures (and no "macro" photography where we have to figure out what is being shot). Sounds like a strange issue - I can't imagine anything preventing the shocks from compressing other than a bent shock rod, but on two? And brand new? Strange.

did you try to use the stock dust covers?

take them off.
