Default 93 tranny swap.........

Ok, I tried and looked for a good hour using the search feature and couldnt find what I am looking for, call me a dumbass if you like, I'm used to it. You may even want to use that term more after I ask what I'm working up to here.....

Several months ago, a friend offered me his 93 accord EX wagon that had some tranny issues, I tried checking and replacing the TCM along with the shift modules which didnt work so we came to the conclusion that the tranny needed replacing. So we picked up a junkyard tranny (believe me I didnt want to do that but $ is tight as I'm sure the rest of you know) that had been rebuilt within the last 40-50k' miles. So we took it and I ripped the old one out and got the new one in by myself on the ground like a savage, and everything aside from a few small things that broke my *****, it went well for a first timer.

I am just about done, I could have actually finished today as I went out there in the snow and got under the car and attempted to install the CV shafts, this is where I ran into an issue. The tranny we bought, came with the CV's chopped off with the drive cups in the tranny along with the rubber boots still attached. So I figured I'd use the drive cups so I wouldnt have to put new seals where the drive cups were seeing there was no leakage. Now I go to install my CV's that are relatively new and they are too big for the drive cups.

I am not sure what year the tranny that I bought was, but its obviously a 90-93, more than likely a 92 because it was just about exactly the same aside from a few little things that I just swapped from the NG tranny.

What would my best course of action be? Pull the drive cups off the NG tranny and try to install them in the tranny (something I should have checked while they were both out but thats what being a newb gets you)? Or what should I do? The CV's I have are in good shape, I have new boots for them and they werent clicking at all when the car was last driven.

Also heres a little background info that I asked several months ago before I ended up taking this car:

Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The transmissions are all the same, I would use the good drive shafts rather than take them apart and insert them in the existing ones that were cut up.
