i have a 95 del sol, but im pretty sure civics are the same in the engine bay. anyway my fuel filter is on the firewall pretty high up. and the B&M guage which is supposed to sit on top of it interferes with my hood, making me not able to close it when the gauge is on. now i tried it without the elbow and it already was up enough so that i couldnt close the hood. if i mount the guage w/ the elbow, for sure i probably cant close it. i was wondering what u guys did in this case....shoot maybe its just the del sol that has this weird filter location. i know the earlier models have lower. any info would help thanks guys!!

use the elbow and mount it on the fuel rail!

 

I used the elbow and just tightened it down as far as I could-haven't had and problems-btw it's a 95 civic
