i have a '97 civic hatch

and i was wondering.
is it worth it to build a new engine or get a vtec even tho it does not have power steering>?

i built a fully built Ls/VTEC and it doesnt have power steering i say get a motor swap that sohc you have in it now theres no hope for it if you dont know what you are doing ..

heres my Ls/VTEC i built .

A ton of people on this site have the same type of car you have and have swapped engines. CX hatches didn't have P/S and DX hatches only rarely come with it. So most of those hatches you see out there didn't even start out with power steering. Even more had it removed during the swap.
