You sure its the head? Pull the cap off the distributor, if you got oil in there, the shaft seal failed, replace the distributor, Most common leak. There are no oil passages right there, only return holes.

Just the o-ring will do the trick... assuming that's the leak.

Anytime one sees oil around the dizzy, it is going to be either the o-ring as shown below or the oil seal as shown below.

Oil right beneath the inboard end of the dizzy suggests the o-ring has failed. Pull the whole distributor off, and you will see the o-ring.

Oil in the dizzy cap suggests the oil seal has failed. Replacing the oil seal requires a bit more disassembly. For how to replace the oil seal and where to buy a new one (since Honda dealers do not sell it), see several of the steps in
http://honda.lioness.googlepages.com/distributorbearing.

Yes, this would be the o-ring. Autozone will not have the oil seal. Autozone may have an o-ring that works, and you will pay less for it, but I would just go to a honda dealer and get the correct o-ring, for peace of mind. Or if you plan to order a bunch of parts soon from an online OEM Honda dealer like www.bkhondaparts.com, put the o-ring on the list. Go to www.bkhondaparts, put in your car info, and it will pull up a list of parts etc. for you.

Worst case an o-ring that you get at True Value or Autozone will leak a heckuva lot. Middle case it will leak a little. Best case it will be just fine. bkhondaparts.com has dimensions of 26.4 mm x 3.1 mm on the o-ring. Dunno if the 26.4 is ID, OD, or midway between. The 3.1 mm should be the thickness. I do not know for what kind of temperatures the one Honda sells is designed, so I do not roll the dice on this one and go OEM. Plus I know how to order from the internet (nudge). But you're young, and maybe low budget? Weren't we all. Experience builds character.
