question about hood dampers...
The hood support cylinders will not swap between both types.
The 4cyl uses a prop rod, the 6 cylinder uses gas supports.
You may find some way to retrofit....
The hood and fenders are unique to the 6 cylinder but most everything else is interchangable.

I haven't had any problems with aftermarket.
But I will add this crevate
I use Honda parts whenever I repair either my own mini-fleet or any of my families Honda's whenever it's a system critical component, or a dealer only item.
I'd use aftermarket for things like lamps, trunk and hood supports and the like.

The V6 hood supports mount into factory threaded inserts on the hood and fender. These inserts will not be present on the L4 accords so mounting the supports will not be easy. I bought aftermarket hood supports that came with brackets and pop rivets. The whole install was done in an hour.
