cooling fan not working!

Icon3 cooling fan not working!

has anyone or can anyone wire up the fan to the relay..???? i made my car obd1 and its idle has been too high due to the motor being cold..... i have it to the switch so i was wondering if anyone has the wiring diagram to hook it up to a relay.... thanks!

Uh just dnt turn the switch on til the motor warms up. Switch is better than on the relay i think. Its how im runnin mine. I only use it in drive thrus. lol

dont listen to him he cant spell ill laugh when he forgets to turn on the switch and plus the relay is needed for your ect to function properly you cant always know when your car is at 194 F without the help of a temp gauge here is the diagram

I have the same problem and just wired mine to a switch because I was way too lazy to troubleshoot the issues

man thanks alot..... before i didnt really care about the temp cuz i was running on a pr3 but now that i went obd1 with hondata if i set the motor to idle at 1000 rpm it goes up all the way to 2000 something when its cold and i used to have to the switch but i notice that it never warmed up with the hondata...... thats why i needed the diagram...... thanks alot man!!! i really really thank you for that!

The fan setup is like almost 95% of cars on the road. To test the operation of the entire circuit, short the two wires on the coolant switch with the key in ON (II). The fan should operate. If it does, you should be just fine. If you question the switch, you will have to take the switch out of the car, and suspend it in a pot of water and heat it until 195-200F. Then measure the resistance of the two pins. If there is more than 5 Ohms between the switch, replace it.

This circuit requires no PCM intervention. Hence the warning label under the hood of almost every car.
