Default Quest for a 1000whp Honda? What would I need?

I've always been a power guy. Traction is the key to very low E.Ts but power will help, and could kill your E.Ts. Who has made such power? I want to stay with Q16 and I will go with bigger turbo than S372 if I have to which I believe I will have to, My Engine management is Motec M4 I'm open to your suggestions. I will answer answer any questions you may have, help with my quest would be thankful!

lol I am no expert but I think your tuner would know what it takes to make 1000whp and put some of it down

If you don't know how to do it, make sure you surround yourself with people that have the knowledge to help. But the short answer is, it takes money and knowledge and you should be able to make that much power. On gas? I'm not sure.

If your sig is correct and Tony has tuned your car, just give him a call. That's what I would do if I was in your shoes. He can tell you exactly what you need to do.

if you're running 9.992@153 while putting down 800+ WHP then perhaps you should get lower ET's before looking for more power.

I originally had basically the same thing you posted, typed out and about to press the submit icon, but decided not to. I figured I would get the typical "Hey man, you need to chill. The dude knows what he wants, and it's not up to you." I guess those ******** are coming up in the next couple of posts.

Anyhow, I agree. 800+ hp in a Honda should go a lot faster than 9.90's, and that's regardless of the fact that it is a fwd car.

On the other hand, 1000 whp (weakened honda parts) would be interesting. For some reason though, LOL, I see this car going slower with almost 200 extra hp.

i would go dart 84mm block 95mm stroke. Crower crank pauter, manly or cunningham rods. Lose bearings and thick oil. Not sure on pistons. Big as devided turbo with twin WG. Full-race top mount header. Magnus intake, 4" exhaust and 3" charge pipeing and 76mm TB. Full ported head with bigger valvs. Skunk 2 pro1 or tuner 2 cams, Maybe ferrea roler setup..

This should be able to hit over 1000hp

K24 would be another route too

horsepower is not always the key to et's it's knowing how to use it, we went 9.84's with 680 fwhp and will go faster is all in the setup some time you have to slow the car down to go faster if that makes any sense. get your car dialed in, boost per gear or time you motec has a slew rate rev limiter in the right hands its dangerous to your et's, and figure out your suspension there is much more in your car and i am not baggin on you have you had someone else drive your car with more experience. like tony? he knows how to make the car work and im sure if asked correctly he would help you optimize your current set up! you make power i only wish we had but trust me you sitting on a 9.30 car dont get frustraited it takes time to dial in a car with that much power! just my 2 cents.

Its alsways good to get a second opinion on almost everything in life. Yes, Tony has told me what I need, But I want to hear from other sorces just to know options. Today I spoke with Carlos at Central Florida Turbo in person and seen some things I Hadn't heard of. Thanks guys we don't need neg feedback only positive thats why Honda-Tech is what it is!

I stopped reading after I saw more than three people say talk to tony. I know the first thing out of his mouth will be learn how to drive the car first then come see me to up the power. I know I have been told and heard him say it to many of people lol.. Whats your 60 foot 330 and everything else figure that out than work on the easy part of power b/c we all know he knows how to get the power.

Just FYI, I went 9.7 at 139, and 9.7 at 147 with 663whp. So, like everyone is saying, get your et's down, then add power.

Hmmmm, that's what I was thinking.

LOL, I just have to:

[racer]: Tony, my car topped out at 9.90's today, I need more power.
[tooner]: Turbocharging isn't for amatuers. You'll blow yourself to pieces.
[racer]: I need one of these, no make it two. Oh, and Tony, I need it by tonight.
[tooner]: What's your 60 ft and 330 et's?
[racer]: I SAID BY TONIGHT DAMMIT!

I know, I just had to. I'm an *******.

im assuming hes more worried about his HP than his ET's... and theres nothing wrong with that.. If thats your goal, then more power to ya (no pun intended, lol)..

im sure your not that far off from being able to make that power.. Seems that you have alot of good parts on your car so far.. talk to Palo, he will set you straight.. Your tuner is the one whose input matters the most anyways

I totally disagree with you on that. Negative feedback can be a good thing for all of us. When we set out to do something, we have something in mind that will get us there. Many times, another with an outside point of view may be able to point out something we are not able to initially see on our own.

I'd much rather learn using help from others who have been there and done that as opposed to not having any type of negative feedback. Remember that what you may call negative feedback can also be called constructive criticism.

I'm sure a select few around here are haters, but I'm sure most of us are not haters and instead enjoy sharing our experiences in such a way we can help our fellow enthusiasts. I sincerely think that your car has a lot more potential in it than a 9.992 ET with 800 WHP. If you want a slower car with 1000 WHP, then by all means go for it. But if you want a quicker car at the track where most think it counts, then let's see what we can suggest to get you to some low 9 second ET's.

Quest for a 1000whp Honda? What would I need?

After you get your 1k whp goal, you will need to start looking into a good tranny programif you havent already.
