Default 1997 accord se rear bumper cover

My acccord was hit and I have chunk out of my rear bumper cover. The adjuster put the damage at $506. How much of a job is it to do yourself? On ebay I can get one freshly painted one for $250. On other sites Iv'e seen it as low as $35 unpainted.

Nothing tough about changing it.
retainers underneath and on top. Also in the back of the rear tire well.
Parts breakdowns are at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

If you can get one painted to your paint code for $250. I'd choose that route.

I'd have to agree. That's a good price.
You may have to take some extra time to get everything lined up around the lamps and across the trunk opening, but if it's your knock around car, you should be more than satisfied with the results.
