this may be a dumb question, but I don't know the answer!
I may get flamed for asking this, here goes: I have a 92' HB with a JDM B16A. I have never tried auto-X but am anxious to see if I suck or am any good at it. My question is on their website I can't decipher what class I would run in. I would imagine that it would be some sort of heavily modded class because of the swap which means I may not necessarily be highly competitive, but will still be fun to try anyways I think..........

thank you very much for the info!
I take it from a competitive standpoint it can be a tough class?

You'll suddenly find yourself buying tires for $500 that the local Sears won't mount because they don't have enough tread.

Just a quick question: your interior isn't gutted, is it? 'Cause even Street Mod requires an intact interior except for the rear seats.
no, I have full interior. it is basically a daily driver w/B16A, but I have a set of stock 14" CRX si rims that I want to get some tires on to try my fate at auto-xing. to this point I have only drag raced my RX-7 or my GS-T...........
I agree. You'd be surprised at how a bad driver and lots of weight can make even a supercar slow. My STS 92 Accord sedan ran a 59 my first time, while a 2000 Viper RT/10 ran only 56.
Some regions have a novice class, which means you'll run against other newbies in all sorts of other cars. If you're brand new to autocross, I'd say forget about whatever class you technically belong in and being competitive -- go out there to have fun and learn as much as you can. You won't regret doing it.
