i need to know if it matters what serial # distributor i use.. i have an 89 civic with a d15b and was wanting to know what distributor is the right one for me. any help is apreciated.. thx

 

Damn right it matters.

td-18u and td-02u are the d16a6 dizzy(s) and td-01u is the dx dizzy iirc.

 

x2. Go to www.bkhondaparts.com, put in your model info, and get the exact serial number for your Civic's distributor.

For the cheapest route, you can try Distributor King (DK) on Ebay. A person can buy three DK dizzys for the price of a new OEM one. Just do not expect the DK dizzy to last as long. Reviews of DK dizzies here at Honda-tech are not perfect but generally good.

 

had a DK obd0 dizzy on my b16a and it was awesome.

 

with the way the dizzy's coils and igniters go out..... go with a oem dizzy if u dont mind spending the extra money for peace of mind. or go to the junk yard and get like 3 and keep the extras in your hatch. lol
