Default Center Dashboard Panel

Hello,

My 02 Accord's battery recently needed replacing, so I put in a new battery a couple days ago and now I'm learning about the radio code awesomeness that comes with this car. I do not have the code for my car, so I need to take out my radio and get the serial number. I've read this much on this forum so far. One thing I do not see covered is how to get the center panel out from around the radio so I can get the radio out. The bottom just has two screws so that wasn't a big deal, however the top seems to be clipped on behind or something. This is not talked about in my owners manual and I can not find this talked about on the net, so I was hoping someone would be kind enough to shed some light on this for me here. The last thing I need right now is to pay the Honda dealership $100 to do this for me. Please let me know.

Thanks

PRESS AND HOLD the one and 6 buttons as you turn on the radio.

im assuming that your talking about the radio trim that you're trying to take off. well at the top there are just clips that you just pop out. be careful not to break anything though. it's always so easy to break those things.

the last guy is wrong, there is a single screw behind the clock in addition to the 2 at the bottom you've already removed.
