So, hi.

I got a H23 head on my F22 block right now. But I want Vtec so I'm thinking about dropping a H22 head on the block.
I know the head to block surfaces probably aren't picture perfect, they won't line up perfectly, so I may have to tweak the headgasket.

Anyways, has anyone done this? I'm lookin' for someone that has done this swap probaby more than once.
I know the basics: H22 computer, h22 head wiring harness (IM and such), and I heard u have to take out the oil jet orifice too. (more oil getting to the vtec head I guess?) I've never worked on a car with vtec, so I think there's sollinoides and such, but I have no idea.

I've searched for days to try and find a write up with this swap, but came up short.
I've seen F23/H23, H22 block/F22 head, crap like that, but no F22/H22 hybrids. Any input?

I'm lookin' for specs. all that tells me is that he was able to do it.
and he's using the f22b block, not the A series.
I got a F22a1 series block, and I'm looking for a h22 head. I know it's possible, but i neeed someone that knows the specs on it, like what headgasket to use, wiring i need, solinoides i need, etc... any inputs?

 

You didn't read very far. No one here's going to spoon feed you the information you want. If you're really interested you'll get a cup of coffe and read that thread and take notes on what applies to you.
