215/55/14 on hx wheels??
They say minimum approved width is 6". Now i know the hx wheels are only 5.5" wide but i need to get a good drag radial on there. So am i going to run into a problem using the tires on these rims? I would just buy the 205/55/14 nittos but i need some traction on my H2B civic. MT is the one that makes the 215/55/14 in there drag radial line up
Get the 205/55 and you won't have to worry about it.
The 10 mm treadwidth won't make any difference at all in grip. And the larger diameter of the 215/55 will hurt your acceleration (like getting taller gears).

I know the extra width wont help traction but MT only makes there drag radial in that size. I said i can get nittos in the 205-55-14 size but they arent that much better then street tires. Thats why i was wondering if they will fit the rims
I wouldn't mount tires on rims outside the range of approved rim widths. Especially not competition tires from a manufacturer specializing in those tires.
And there's a huge difference between the Nitto NT555R drag radials and street tires.
What about the BFG drag radials in 205/50-14?
