Default OBD0 b16a into a 89 crx si......

im in the middle of a obd0 b16a swap into a 89 crx si the only thing left to do is the wiring harness, i already have the vtec harness wired, should my stock harness work for the motor? the one that came on the b16, has a big plug on the driver side that doesnt fit.. the motor that was in the car before is a d16y7, is this harness gonna work??? the injector plug seem to be a different color....IM stuck!

use your stock si harness with the 4 additional 4vtec wires wired in.

im gonna assume that because you said the injector plugs are different color that you were running the stock y7 manifold. so...
white plug....obd0 injector
grey plug....obd1-2 injector

the harness that you are planning to use, is it a stock b16 harness or usdm si harness? you might have it flipped. driver side on the passenger side. pics would be helpful.

when i got the car it had a motor from a 98 dx -d16y7 it was running a obd0 and ecu....i got a b16a from hmotors...the harness on the b16 does not seem to work because of the bigger plug on the drivers side...So what i am asking is if i can use the harness that was already on the car... heres some pics

right plug -crx harness / left plug b16a harness

You don't use the harness that comes on the B16a. You need to put your SI harness on the B16a and then you can just plug it into the car's harness. Some of the wires on your SI harness will probably need to be lengthened (mine did).

Also, don't forget to switch your O2 sensors. As you know, the B16a has two O2 sensors with a different plug on each one. The SI harness has a single plug and the O2 sensor on the B16a that it plugs into is the wrong one. You need to switch the pins at the ECU (if you have already wired up the new O2 sensor wire).

Very important to have both o2 sensors hooked up correctly, had mine the wrong way at first and it ran like ****. Didn't idle right until the vaccum lines were correct also.

i got the diagram for the vaccum hoses, but ill have to look up how to do the o2 sensors, on more question, theirs a vaccum hose that comes from the black canister to directly above the throttle body opening, well, the brass connector broke off in shipping, so i can't hook up the line there, is this going to affect performance? I would put a pick up, but the cars at my mechanics getting the wiring harness done.
