Just purchased a 91 accord with 61k original miles for my daughter. When you put the key in the drivers door and turn it to unlock the door are all the doors supposed to unlock with the turn of the key? When I do it now, the drivers door only unlocks and I need to open the door and use the power lock switch to unlock the other doors.. Is this normal? On my prelude all you have to do is hold the key in the door for like 5 seconds and the other door unlocks.. Trying to figure out if I have a problem or not.. I ordered an owners manual off of ebay but it has not arrived yet.. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

 

It is normal on your Accord for the driver's door you are using the key on to unlock, and not all other doors too.

Thanks alot.. Really appreciate it.. So if I get an aftermarket keyless entry system installed, will it unlock all the doors with the press of the button or will it still just unlock the drivers door? Thanks again!!

 

If you get an aftermarket keyless entry system, it should unlock all doors. My previous 5th gen Accord had an aftermarket alarm (purchased through Honda dealership when new) that did this. I now have a 2009 Accord that comes stock that unlocks all doors with the remote (so Honda has made some changes along the way).
