Auto-to-manual on 4th gen.
I have a '93 Si with a jdm h22a + usdm h23a trans + chipped p28 + mods + etc...but the car is a salvage title vehicle and I recently realized that it needs a little bit more TLC than I have time for...and I happened to come across a cleaner '93 rolling shell but it's auto. I'm use to working on civics and integras, so I have no idea what is involved in the auto-to-manual swap on one of these 4th gen ludes.
Any walk-throughs for this conversion? I checked the FAQ and searched several different terms, but didn't find anything. I'd like to get the low down on this before deciding to buy the auto shell. I can butcher my '93 5speed shell for anything I would need, I planned on parting it out/scrapping it anyways.
Thanks!

The swap is very easy. Did you try typing in auto to manual in the search box? I got 91 pages of results with the search....
The hole for the master cylinder is already there, all you need is spacers.
Swap the ECU, shifter, brake pedals(just the pedal not the whole mount),put in clutch pedal and run the clutch line.
You can get all the parts needed from you current 5 spd car.
Also here is a thread for it:

Good luck

Awesome, thanks for the info and link. I searched like 20 different terms, but not that exact one, haha.
Sounds easy enough, besides the fact that auto/manual conversions suck...at least I know it can be done now. Time to buy a new shell.

Auto preludes have slightly different mounting position for the auto tranny. You will have to either drill holes in your tranny engine bay mount or buy the ESP auto to manual prelude engine mount conversion. Otherwise your h22 will sit at a leaning angle.
