Default squeaking noise when moving after driving 5 miles help a brotha out!

Ok so I bought a 96 integra. Brought it into the shop and checked it out. Everything seems ok except the front wheel bearings are loose but not to the point where it was making noise so I put it on my to do list.

I do the wheel bearings a month later and I notice that the car squeaks whenever it warms up. Its in the wheel somewhere but I am not sure if its the wheel bearing or the brakes. I cant just bring it into the shop to check it out because it only happens after driving for a while and I dont have time to drive it for a while and bring it in because I am either working or watching my kid. Plus our vice store manager wont let us without a work order.

The brakes have plenty of lining left to not be making noise. The noise goes away if you hit the brakes or swerve slightly back and forth.

Anybody ever have this kind of problem? I might just say **** it and put new front brakes on.

Any input would be appreciated.

i had the same problem when i did my wheel bearings. it stopped for me. my guess is that the bearings just need some breaking in thats all.

Your wheel bearing should not make any noise if done right.

Did you put the little metal slide pieces back in? The thin metal between the pad and the bracket.

So apparently your wheels heat up?

yes i know it shouldnt make any noise. i've done quite a number of them and non of them has made any noise. Defect?

by little metal slide pieces you mean the hardware for the brake pads? yes it was making noise so i checked. they are all there and nothing is touching the rotors to make squeaky noises.

i'll have a look see maybe on thursday or friday night. taking everything apart again. :S
