First of all, they are brakes, not breaks. Secondly, you'd most likely be the first to have them on an S2000.

my personal opinion on this is they are not worth the money...the s2000 has one of the best 60-0 stoping braking systems around...stock brakes are more than adequate, even if you add a good deal of power...if you want to upgrade stopping i suggest adding steel brake lines and some hawk pads...best bang for the buck...but that system is overkill

yep.
you have three options.
1. be happy with stock. (better than most Porsche & Ferrari's)
2. upgrade pads/rotors/lines/tires.
3. go big or go home with a BBS.

Get your power and speed up first before braking. Overkill brake system.

Combined with the feedback in your Type-R thread, you've got a lot opinions.

I've delt with a lot of D2 products when I worked in Korea at performance shop for a year. Will I ever buy one? No................................................ ......

warranty job after warranty job, reacalls after recalls. Especially coilovers. I honestly don't know how they are now but damn.... just from that experience, I wouldn't recommend to ppl.

But it's your money and your decision.

I'd be fine with just brake pads and lines

However, It wouldn't hurt to have have spoon/rotora pot mini's though lol

well yeah, people buy rims that are more than that for appearance reasons, the same with bumpers and wings.

K sport are crap just like D2 freaking cost alot more over in the USA then they do here as well. It will take a couple of years but you guys are going to realise that a company like SSAC or OBX are manufacturing D2/Ksport they go under a few other names aswell.

Buy pads and lines and maybe rotors. I did that on my EP3. When they heat up after a couple of stops they stick like glue! Best bang for the buck mod on my car hands down. Everyone is very impressed that I have the stock calipers when I show them the stopping power of my car. I put Russel SSBL, Hawk HPS pads and powerslot rotors. Probably could have done better without the rotors but what the hell.

Just got pads and rotors and lines. You'll be happy and save yourself about 1000 dollars.

Oh hai!

Nothing bad at all to report here, kit is great, fitment is perfect and breaks work amazingly. Get the race pad option though.

Thanks,

John

You will be fine to upgrade pads and rotors performance-wise. Despite what someone else says, if you want to spend $1400 on your car; do it! BUT please make sure you research on the quality of products before you purchase, especially when it deals with something as important as stopping your car. Brakes are not purely aesthetic, they ARE supposed to serve a purpose....
