Default GSR transmission whining. Please help.

Ok, so i purchased a GSR tranny from someone locally. I installed it to my LS long block and took it for a spin. It only took a few minutes and first gear started whining. Then, second gear, then, third gear.

I talked to a local shop that deals with hondas and he said chances are it's a bearing. Grinding gears dont spread that fast.

So either I used the wrong type of tranny oil, or It is a bearing. Does anyone know what bearing this could be? I have taken the tranny off since and put my ls tranny back on. I cracked open the GSR tranny last night to take a little look. Everything looks good so far. I found some metal shreds (very thin and small and in a small amount) on the magnet. But, the gears look good. I have not pulled the shafts out of the other side of the housing yet.

It basiclly made a whin as if I was going in reverse (sounds like a remote control car) but in all my gears. Could this just be oil?

I have pics if you would like to see.

Thanks for all the help if any help at all. I appreciate it.

I would check the input shaft bearing, I have had customers pick up trannys that were "good" and the input shaft moved 1/2 inch lol. If you pull the tranny, make sure there is not excessive play with the input shaft, and if you pop the case check out the rest of the bearings.
