Default Hi there folks

Hello people! London calling!

Thought it was about time I said hello. I come on here for a browse every now and again, but never bothered to post until today.. I was reading the Mugen thread, and the latest post was someone saying they "sometimes wished they had a mugen crx".. and I suddenly had the urge to post "I do... "

So then I thought I'd better say hello properly!!

I've been a crx fan since having a ride in one in 1989 as a teenager, and bought my first one in 1997, a completely stock uk 16v, and did nothing but enjoy it as it was for 8 years. Then I discovered CRX-UK and decided a change was in order. So I bought myself a Celestial Blue VT in need of a little work. 3 years and a good deal of work later it looked like this....

But then my favourite siR came up for sale, and I had to have it....

So the cel blue was sold and I had the perfect CRX which I never intended to sell... totally rust free, genuine J's lip, genuine Mugen RNR's and spoiler.. properly stunning.

Then 6 months later, out of the blue, possibly the most well known CRX in the UK was put up for sale and it was too good an opportunity to miss out on. So I bought that aswell, and for a few weeks had the pair of them outside the house!

So here is my current crx basking in some British autumn sunshine!.....

I don't know if Adam ever posted on here, but all the credit has to go to him and a fella called Mark Eley for building it. It started life as a black jdm 1.5x, and came over to the UK already kitted and painted. It then immediately got a B16, which very quickly got boosted. In that guise it became a very competitive car, winning it's class in the GTBattle, and also it's handling class at TOTB, and has set some very impressive quarter mile and 0-60 times in full road going trim.

Since then the B16 has become a B20 vtec, still boosted ofcourse. But it's entered retirement from competition and I'm embarking on making it slightly more civilised, though it was always a daily driver not a stripped out slag, and will be restoring it to full minty freshness to preserve the legendary 'Ginger' for good.
