Default 97 ex trans

please help, wen i put my car in gear it wont move. the crazy thing is that my speedo is moving. i have checked my axles they seem to be in all the way and not moving. we had the axles out wen i did the engine swap. the gear shiffter seems a little out of wack would that be it.

any help would be great.

do you feel the clutch engage or disengage? i am assuming its a 5 speed?

yes i do,do you know why the speedo would move if the clutch was nor grabing.

I would double check your axles, make sure they are all the way in. If the clutch is working like it should, and your speedo is moving.

now i look at it there is about a 1/8" gap in between the axle and tran. this is on the passenger side is that right?

Either the axles aren't in the all the way, or the diff pin in the tranny broke, thats all I can think of, I think you can safely take clutch out of the equation seeing as how the speedometer is getting a signal. The VSS is gear driven off the final drive IIRC.

most likely my trans is shot then.
i put a new clutch in wen i did the engine swap.

Is there anything else that happened? The swap came out of a running driving car? Something doesn't make sense.
