Default 2009 import face-off schedule updates

OK, Schedule has been updated AGAIN.

First venture north east... Maryland has been added to the schedule for July 19 at Capitol Raceway.

Again, the Shreveport event has been CANCELED because the person who was supposed to buy that track has gone missing after writing some bad checks. Unless someone takes over that track, there will be no more Shreveport IFOs. A 2nd Kansas City event has been scheduled in its place. Also, a 2nd Houston event has been scheduled for Saturday, August 1st which will be a NIGHT event. Tampa, FL has been also been added to schedule for Sunday, October 11. This should be the final schedule for 2009.

Basically, it's just... F/R/AWD 4/6 cyl or rotary, n/a engines only, slicks OK for FWD only, open exhaust OK

There like Honda Day rules. Does this mean you will be coming down for some races?

Is there a reason there is no races really in the northeast? Nothing in Jersey....PA...MD....Virginia even? Also why is it that they seem to have people jumping back and forth across the country? Like you start off in texas... then go to florida... then turn around and go to arizona only to come right back and go to georgia? I do like to see organizations stepping up and producing their schedules early as this will help people get themselves setup to figure out their plans for the upcoming season. Just some thoughts I had about it... don't take this as bashing.

2008 Was IFOs first year for a points series. So there was only a couple of us traveling state to state.

Jump around, why not? It's not like many teams follow the ENTIRE series. For those who do, Spec and Able, they don't stay in a city and wait for the next close IFO to come through. They go back home after each event.

As for northeast/west, IFO doesn't like to schedule locations where other events are already established. The attention span of the typical import fan is relatively short. Too many events in one region are bad for the scene.

Scheduling conflict with KCIR at the Spring Kansas City event, so had to cancel that one.

Usually 4 to 8 for all motor classes.
