Default need winter wheels... will Xb wheels fit a civic?

I need some winter wheels and someone local has '06 Xb wheels cheap. I know they're 4x100 but I'm not sure about the center bore, does anyone not if they will fit a 92-95 civic?

could hubcentric rings allow the wheels to fit or would they need to be machined?

They would need to be machined, since the center hole is 2 mm smaller in diameter than the hub on the Civic. Hubcentric rings are for wheels whose center hole is too big, not too small.

I read that for miata wheels a 5mm spacer could be used. Is that true for these or is that just a bad idea?

You can search and find various threads on how people have made them work. Everything from using a cheap hole saw, to spacers, to machining them.

However, my recommendation would be just to get black steel rims if they are just to be used for the winter. Might even be able to find a used local set.
