Front fender grinding....need suggestions.
Quick question, the front passenger side (right side) wheel/tire is rubbing against the front fender. It has recently gotten worse. Before, it usually happened only when making sharp left turns, but it now rubs sometimes even when going on a straight road. This was after I moved into a new city about 2 days ago -- Erie, PA. The roads here a bit more bumpier than the roads in Alabama so I'm thinking that may be the culprit. Or maybe my camber kit is loose somehow from the constant jarring?
So I'm thinking about replacing the springs (currently H&R Sport) with H&E OEM. It would give me more clearance room so it won't rub. I also have KYB AGX shocks installed. Are these a good match?

I have the same problem, but I have neuspeed race springs + tockiko blues shocks. I also run a 205/40/17 tire, with a (I think) 45 mm offset. My **** rubs only when I hit really fucked up bumps in the road, or when I'm traveling 65+ mph on the freeway and hit bumps.....I think the wheels are rubbing against the plastic in the fenderwells, not the fenders.....I've heard of people taking out the plastic...anyone with experience?
I have the race springs and the car is dropped perfect.
However if I nail it around a tight turn with the wheel all the way cut it will rub.I also have tokico blues and I know there way to soft for the race springs.I'm trying to pt together a couple bucks for konis.

Okay i have the neuspeed race springs and the tokico blues just like a couple of you guys her is what I did. take off the plastic fender liner and look at the metal seam that runs the length of the wheel well. Take a grinder and slice it into 1inch long sections then hammer them to either side, that should give you about a 1/2 inch more clearance or so. Then I took the trusty grinder and ground the lip of the fender down quite a ways. make sure you leave the mounting tabe for the plastic liner otherwise it wont go back on. you can also find a shop that will roll the fender lip for you which basically pushes it flush with the fender. i chose to cut the plastic liner into two sections one for the front and one for the back because my tire was still rubbing on the plastic liner in the middle. Thats what i did and my car works great, by the way i ride on GSR stocks, I have driven my car from seattle to Canada about 4 or 5 times and have never had a problem. Oh, and that seam grinding thing sounds like a big job but it isnt that hard and sport compact car did it to there project Civic Si challenge car last year.

Sorry, but I'm in Florida for at least a month and don't have my car. maybe when I get back i can borrow my friends camera and post some pics. If you take the plastic wheel well cover off the car and look at the top of the wheel well you will see that seam i was talking about. I suggest trying to find that old sport compact car article and look at what they did, it is extremely similar to what I was talking about.

I have had the same struggles with my integra (along with one of my friends). I am riding pretty low and I was getting my tires cut by the 'knife edge' in the front fenders where the body seam is. The best/easiest solution I found was to remove the plastic splash guards and locate the seam (it should be an obvious, shiny looking edge right in the middle of the wheel well). I then used some large vise-grips to bend the seam over to one side. Once I got it started I used the heaviest ball-peen hammer I could find to hammer the seam all the way flat. It may sound brutal (I was cringing with every whack) but it worked and it did not damage anything other than to fold the seam safely over. I had to slightly trim the plastic splash guards to accomodate the folded seam before reinstalling them. It feels a lot better now knowing that my tires are a little safer during big bumps.
Sounds good...
...but what about the plastic toward the outer edge of the fender? My other problem (besides the knife like seam in the fender well), is the exterior sidewall of the tires rubbing against the plastic that lines the fender. The plastic there seems to stick outward (or, technically, inward--toward the middle of the car) just a little bit (far enough for my **** to rub just about every time I hit a fuggin bump)...

Supposedly it is quite easy to roll your fenders with a baseball bat if you stick it in the space between your wheel and the fender and SLOWLY roll the edge up. Won't damage your paint or anything if you do it without rushing. I've been thinking about doing it to my car, I'll post pics if I do... Gotta replace my struts and then I'll see if its still necessary
Here is a step by step link that I just found - integra.vtec.net/wheels/rollfender.html
